Celebrating a Wonderful Year Together
Aldenham School Riyadh, British international school in Riyadh

As we reach the end of the academic year, it is an opportunity to pause, reflect and celebrate everything that has been accomplished over the past ten months.

There has been a genuine sense of pride, achievement and excitement. Our school production, Ernie's Incredible Illucinations, delighted audiences with its creativity, humour and confidence, while our Visitation Days provided wonderful opportunities to celebrate our pupils through music, performances and awards. These occasions are always among the highlights of the school year because they remind us that education is about so much more than lessons and examinations alone. It is about helping children discover their talents, develop confidence and become the very best versions of themselves.

Throughout the year, our pupils have achieved an enormous amount. They have explored the ancient civilisations of Egypt, Greece and Rome, debated the causes and consequences of the First World War, studied Shakespeare's Macbeth, investigated scientific concepts through practical enquiry, solved increasingly challenging mathematical problems and developed their creativity through music, drama, art and sport. Alongside these academic achievements, they have grown in resilience, independence, kindness and leadership.

Some have represented the school in sporting competitions. Others have performed on stage, served as Prefects and members of the School Council, contributed to community initiatives and embraced opportunities such as Careers Day and the Science Fair. Every child has travelled their own unique journey and every child has made progress in ways that deserve to be celebrated.

Whilst one academic year comes to an end, another is already taking shape. Our staff will return on Sunday 16th August for two weeks of professional learning, planning and preparation as we get ready to welcome our pupils back. We are looking forward to introducing Year 9, welcoming many new families and colleagues to our community and continuing our preparations towards COBIS accreditation. There is a tremendous sense of optimism about the future and we are excited by everything that lies ahead.

Our new academic year begins for pupils on Sunday 30th August, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back for another year of learning, friendship, discovery and success.

For now, however, it is time for a well-earned summer break.

On behalf of everyone at Aldenham School Riyadh, thank you for allowing us the privilege of educating your children. Watching them grow over the past year has been both inspiring and deeply rewarding.

We wish you and your families a safe, restful and enjoyable summer holiday and look forward to welcoming you back on Sunday 30th August as together we begin another exciting chapter in the story of Aldenham School Riyadh.
