Ambition, Opportunity and a Bright Future
Purpose, leadership and academic ambition in action at Aldenham School Riyadh

Another week that captures the very best of Aldenham School Riyadh: a school defined by purpose, guided by strong values and increasingly shaped by pupil leadership, academic ambition and a shared commitment to excellence.

We began the week with a thoughtful and inspiring assembly led by Year 5 Sycamore and Mr Tariq Abdullah, centred on the theme of Earth Day. It was a powerful reminder that education extends far beyond the classroom. Our pupils spoke with clarity and confidence about responsibility, stewardship and the role each of us plays in shaping the world around us. These are the values that underpin an Aldenham education; it was wonderful to see them expressed so meaningfully.

A particularly important moment this week was the announcement of our new School Council and Eco-Warrior representatives. These roles represent far more than titles. They are opportunities for pupils to develop leadership, to contribute actively to the life of the school and to understand that true leadership is grounded in service to others.

Our partnership with parents continues to strengthen. We were delighted to welcome families to the Lower Key Stage 2 Mathematics workshop, led by Mrs Nadia Khan and the Year 3 and Year 4 teaching team. These sessions are an important part of our shared approach, ensuring that parents feel informed, supported and closely connected to their child’s learning journey.

This week also marks a significant milestone in the development of the school. We are proud to confirm that Aldenham Prep Riyadh has secured Cambridge Centre Status. This achievement reflects the strength of our academic provision and our commitment to providing pupils with clear, rigorous and internationally recognised pathways. It is a significant step forward as we continue to build a school that offers both breadth and depth in equal measure.

Looking ahead, we are excited for our Science Fair on Thursday 7th May, where curiosity, investigation and innovation will be celebrated across the school.

We also look forward to the ASPA Summer Fair on Friday 8th May at 3.00pm, a much- loved event that brings together pupils, families and staff in a spirit of community and celebration.

Aldenham Senior School and Beyond

As part of this continued development, we are pleased to invite all parents, and interested guests, to a special information session:

Aldenham Senior School and Beyond, Saturday 9th May 2026, 10.30am

This session will be led by the Headmaster and Senior Leadership Team and will provide a clear and comprehensive overview of the school’s future direction, academic pathways and long-term vision.

The session will explore:

  • The educational journey from the International Early Years Curriculum and International Primary Curriculum into senior school
  • Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 progression pathways
  • Cambridge International programmes, including IGCSE and A Levels
  • Subject choices, guidance and future planning
  • Expectations in the senior years
  • Preparation for university and life beyond school
  • Our commitment to excellence through the COBIS accreditation pathway
  • A live question and answer session with the Senior Leadership Team

This is an important opportunity to understand not only where we are as a school, but where we are going. We warmly encourage all families to attend.

As the term progresses, our focus remains consistent: high expectations, strong relationships and a deep commitment to ensuring that every child is supported, challenged and inspired.

A thought that captures this approach: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act but a habit.” Aristotle

At Aldenham Prep Riyadh, this is not simply an idea, but a principle that is lived out each day.
